Introductory fibre optics training courses
Our popular "Fibre Optics Introduction" course is available in both a standard version certified by the Open College Network, and many additional versions to suit audiences ranging from graduates, managers, network planners, equipment sales and marketing staff to maintenance technicians and installation supervisors.
We also provide range of shorter courses on topics such as ribbon fibre splicing, fault finding in fibre networks, routine network maintenance, emergency repair, and blown-fibre installation. Advanced fibre testing
In-depth courses covering both practical skills and theory, for optical fibre test engineers, equipment service/sales engineers and anybody required to interpret and analyse test results or data. Both our Advanced OTDR Testing and Advanced PMD & Chromatic Dispersion testing courses are now certified by the Open College Network (OCN) at level 3, the same level in the national qualifications framework (NQF) as A-levels and the next level up from the industry standard City and Guilds 3466 and 3666 qualifications. Planning and Design of Network Cabling Infrastructure
We have offered a variety of training courses covering many aspects of network cabling infrastructure planning and design, for both optical fibre and copper cable based networks (telecoms and datacoms). Whilst we are still able to offer these courses and can design bespoke courses to cover your needs, we are currently working on a new range of courses to clearly and rigorously cover all aspects of network planning and design.
