Lucid sponsors Land Rover Ambulance in the Plymouth to Dakar Rally
Team Crash-Bash consisting of Darren Ready of Corporate Kinetics, Clive Bradley of Dove Nest Group, and Meg, a 1960's Land Rover Ambulance, have now completed their 4000 mile drive from Kendal to Banjul just south of Dakar on the west coast of Africa.

Yes it appears Clive and Darren are up for doing this again this year (2007 / 2008), and Lucid have agreed to sponsor them again. Please read-on to learn more about this event and the good causes it supports, and we hope you will enjoy following their progress on the web this year.
Why did they do it?
To raise awareness and funding to provide an emergency response vehicle for the Alexander Edwards Clinic in central and eastern Gambia - for more information visit
How did they do it?
An ex-military 1966 Land Rover Ambulance complete with medical equipment, hygiene supplies and clothing to be delivered by hand to the clinic. This encompassed 25 days of travel with accommodation courtesy of the Land Rover! The rules of the Plymouth-Dakar Challenge state that the vehicle must cost no more than £100.00, but the rest of the cost was met through donations from local businesses including Lucid.
